Make-up yourself!!

In this quick tutorial we will see how we can make up a portrait image quickly and easily in a very professional way.
So lets start with a beautiful picture of a girl. The shot is quite good however if we want to give some professional touches we have to edit the picture in photoshop. We will use the CS5 edition.
Original Picture
Ok after loading the picture, we create a new layer (for safety reasons).
Follow the steps below:
1. Create a new layer (Layer >New > Layer). Name it with a name like (make-up)
2. We are going to use the brush tool to paint over the face. So select the Brush tool
3. Now we have to choose the color that we are going to use for the painting. To select a suitable color, press ALT, to change the brush tool to eyedropper tool and select the color from the face that you like the most. Me personally I have chosen a pink color from the top of the girls nose.
4. Change the blending mode from "normal" to "multiply".
5. Make the blending opacity to 70%
6. Increase the brush size to be as big as an eye for example. You can play with the brush size with the "[" and "]".
7. Now with the brush we are going to pass over the face characteristis of the girl. Be cautious not to pass over the eyes. Pass through the nose, cheeks, lips, head -front but not the eyes. In this way we give to the girl a more intense tone. You can see a small example below:
Pale - free portrait.
8. Create another new layer (name it shadows). Turn the blending options to "multiply" also. In this layer we will create with the same pink color from the previous steps shadows in the face.
9. Pait the portrait near to her hair, underneath the neck, everywhere that some shadow should be.
10. Create another new layer (name it glows) Turn the blending options to "soft-light" In this layer with the same pink color from the previous steps we will paint the points that should have some glow - light.
11. Paint the left cheek and the neck underneath so that we take a more shinny portrait.
12. If you think that the shinny effect is too intence you can just lower the opacity to 60-70%

13. Create another new layer (name it rouge) Turn the blending options to "multiply" In this layer we will make up the cheeks of the girl with a rouge color taken from her lips.
11.Pass once in each cheek. Adjust the opacity to whatever level you like most.
After rouge effect
In the same way as above we will continue this article but without as much detail as it really depends on the chosen portrait and our preferences.
12. Create a new layer ("eye"). Now we will paint around the eye. So select the color inside the girls eye. Paint around the eye. Make the blending multiply.
13. Create a new layer ("eyeliner"). Now we will paint with a black color and make an eyeliner effect. So select the black color. Paint through the eye lines. Make the blending multiply.
14 If you want to make a "smoky" make up repeat the 13th step but make the blending linear light. After painting, go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur and select something like 4 or 5 to make  the smoky effect.
smoky eyes
Last but not least we are going to edit the lips.
15. Go to Adjustments. Create a Hue/Saturation. Increase the saturation by 5%. Go to masks. Click Invert. Take a white brush on a black mask and paint over the lips. You will see that color changes on them. If you have tottaly cover the lips go and change the  Hue to find the perferct color.

Thats it. Our girl is now ready to go for a photo shooting!!! Look at the difference.
