Create electronic signature with photoshop (easy way)

In this tutorial we will create a signature-picture from a simple picture.

I have chosen this character from Final Fantasy Series.

1. Open Photoshop, File, New, 450x150 pixels, resolution=72, bg color=white
2. Unlock the background layer and rename it "bg_layer"
3. Create a new layer with name "render's layer"
4. File > Place choose the image that you want to place.
5. With Alt-Shift place the image so that it is better viewed.
6. Right Click on the render's layer and choose Rasterize so that we can edit later.
7. Choose bg_layer and right click. Choose Blending Options.
8. Choose Gradient Overlay. Choose 2 characteristic colors from your image (here I chose blue and black)
9. Change the Style from Linear to Radial. Angle = 180, OK.
10. Choose render's layer, right click, blending options
11. Click the Outer Glow. Blend Mode: Color Dodge, white color, Spread=3%, Size=62. Play with the parameters until you are satisfied. Press ok.

Until now you will have something like that:

12. Make a copy of the render' layer by dragging it to the icon "Create a new layer"
13. Choose render's layer and Filter > Blur > Motion Blur
14. Create a new group and put the render' layer and the copy of that inside that group.
15. Create a new layer "clouds render"
16. Pick the paint Bucket tool and paint the background of the clouds render layer white.
17. Choose Filter > Render > Clouds
18. Choose from the Layers Toolbar the Color Dodge.
19. Create a new layer "text layer". With the text tool write your name (or message) and click ok.
20. Choose from the Layers Toolbar the Overlay option.

Until now you will have something like that:

21. Create a new layer "gradient".
22. Choose the Gradient tool and a suitable pattern that matches with the colors of your photo. After that position with the Shift button pressed the light as you would like to be lighted. Don't forget to change the Normal Layers to Soft Light.
23. Now we will put behind a space photo to make more impressive results.

I chose this photo:

24. So again, create a new layer "space"
25. Place the image. With Alt +Shift place it where you like most.
26. Change the Layer from Normal to Screen. And with the eraser erase the image in the points that you want to have more details from the figure.
27. Press Ctr+Alt+Shift+E to apply the image.
28. Choose the Rectangular Marquee tool. Make a small rectangular on the upper vertical side of the image.
29. Edit > Fill with Black Color
30. Press Ctrl + J to make a copy of that layer.
31. With the Move tool press shift button and the black marquee and move the copy to the down vertical side of the image.

So that's it. You can experiment with all the parameters that we have seen.
