Change color in a specific object in a photo
If you wanna change the color of a dress, a shoe or something else in photoshop there is an easy way by following the instructions below.
I used Photoshop CS5.
1. Get the picture that you would like to change. For example I have here the wonderfull Angelina in her yellow Cannes-dress!
Let's change her dress.
2. Go to Select > Color Range. Choose to the Selection Preview the Quick Mask and without closing the small window pick the yellow color that you want.
3. After one click you will notice that it has not selected all the yellow color ranges in the photo, so we continue selecting the yellow color by pressing the Shift button simultaneously.
You will know that you have made a good selection if you will see in the preview color change window the dress in white color.
4. After that click the Hue/Saturation Adjustment on the toolbar. You can change the color by dragging the Hue and Saturation indicators.
5. You are allmost ready. For the minor details you can close the Color Range and select the mask that you have created. After that press the "x" button to select the white color and choose the Brush Tool. With this tool you can refine some small pixels that have not change.
